StrongTread Polished Concrete
Polished concrete floors are one of the most sustainable flooring solutions available. With a low lifetime cost, simple maintenance, and long-term durability, our StrongTread systems are crafted to fit a variety of environments and styles.

Class A | StrongTread Modern
Cream Aggregate: Light sand exposure with a creamy appearance. The surface is simply polished and not ground, exposing little to no aggreate.
Class B | StrongTread Classic
Fine/Sand Aggregate: Fine aggregate exposure with some cream. Grinding and polishing removes up to 1/16" of the concrete surface, exposing fine aggregate throughout the majority of the floor.
Large Aggregate: Heavy aggregate exposure. Grinding and polishing removes up to 1/4" of the concrete surface, exposing large aggregate throughout the majority of the floor.
StrongTread Modern is an architectural favorite finish. The cream - or cap - of the concrete floor is honed and polished to enhance and embrace the character of the concrete and finishing techniques. Some texture and finishing marks are key elements in this finish.
- Only new, unsealed concrete
- Aggregate: Cream A
StrongTread Classic is, well, the classic look when most people think of polished concrete. The cap of the slab is removed to expose the small aggregate and creates visual texture on the surface. A great base for a natural look or adding color.
- Aggregate: Mostly Class B with areas of larger stone
- Sometimes referred to as a "Salt & Pepper" look
StrongTread Remodel offers a great look when embracing concrete’s age and character in a remodeled space. Polished concrete and renewed architectural history go hand-in-hand! The Remodel process removes carpet glue or tile thin-set and transforms spaces.
- Aggregate: Mixture of Class B & C
StrongTread Deep digs down into the concrete surface, where we find the large stones used as the building blocks of strength. When wanting an even, consistent, deep stone exposure, our Deep floor offers the look of large aggregate as the main finish.
- Aggregate: Class C
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
PENETRATING DYES & REACTIVE STAINS
Changing the color of a concrete floor is a great option to change the overall look of a space. This can be done with dyes or stains. Dyes have an even appearance. They keep a consistent color over the area they are applied. Dyes come in a wide variety of colorways, from deviations of gray to deep blues. Stains create movement on a floor, giving it a marbled effect. Each stained floor is unique.
GROUT COATING
The grout coating application fills in naturally occurring pinholes, small air pockets, and aggregate pop-outs in a concrete floor. This process offers a higher overall reflectivity and a less porous surface and is recommended for air-entrained concrete and/or concrete that will be heavily ground to remove sealers, coatings, or when aesthetics are a top priority. The availability of this option is typically unknown until the concrete floor has been prepared and the initial pass is complete.

STAIN GUARD+
Our Guard+ option combines two types of stain guards. This premium stain guard is typically an upgrade for floors with concerns about stains. Cafeterias, event venues, and food service spaces would benefit from our Stain Guard+ option, which provides the BEST protection for your floors.
STRONGTREAD REFRESH
Our StrongTread Refresh system is affordable, quick, and restorative, bringing back that brand-new look to your floor. This system is a refinishing process of the polished concrete process, which includes a final stain guard treatment.
