A logistics company, located in Delphos, Ohio, came to Dancer Concrete Design with a request for two different concrete finishes. The company is a full-service transportation logistics provider specializing in dedicated fleet, brokerage, and warehousing. The project they were working on was the 8,000 square foot main service area. The project included epoxy coatings on both the concrete floor and in the repair pit as well as a sealed concrete floor that would offer a surface that prevented concrete dusting and increased the durability of the surface.
We installed an epoxy polyurea floor system in three lanes as well as to the service pits within those lanes. The epoxy coating was chosen because it is oil and gas resistant, UV stable (will not yellow with the exposure to sunlight), and provides an extra durable protective coating to the concrete.
A polished concrete floor with a concrete densifier was chosen for the remaining square footage. We applied two coats of an oil-resistant additive for concrete, and the flooring is now very tough, abrasion-resistant, and easy to clean.
